Five things that decide what your website costs
Two websites can look alike and still differ a lot in price. It is usually down to these five things.
Number of pages and templates
Each unique page type needs design and development. Ten service pages built on one template cost less than ten pages that all look different.
Texts and images
If you supply texts and images, the price goes down. If we write texts that also work on Google, it takes more time but gives more enquiries.
Connections to other systems
Forms that go straight into your CRM, online booking or links to a business system need to be built and tested.
Languages and markets
Each new language means translated texts, its own addresses and settings so that Google shows the right version in each country.
Moving from an old website
If you already rank on Google, old addresses must redirect to the new pages. It is a small part of the price but protects traffic you have already earned.
What does it cost to have a website?
The build is a one-off cost. After that there are a few smaller costs, and some optional ones if you want more visitors.
Domain
A .co.uk or .com domain name usually costs a few pounds a year.
Hosting and platform
Depends on the platform. We pick hosting that keeps the site fast and tell you the cost in the proposal.
Updates and maintenance
Security updates and small changes. You can do a lot yourselves, or let us take care of it.
More visitors (optional)
SEO, advertising and AI visibility are priced separately, often as a fixed monthly fee.
